 Rosette strain gauge is also called strain flower. Strain flower is the use of two or more strain gauges, closely arranged to
measure the strain members in different directions. A single strain gauge can only measure the strain in a single direction. The
strain flower can measure the strain on the measured surface more accurately by using multiple strain gauges to measure the strain
in multiple directions. The 90 degree Angle vertical strain flower is equivalent to two AA strain gauges overlapping 90 degrees.multi-axial strain gauge and compound strain gauge.Strain rosette (multi-axis strain gauge): A strain gauge made of a sensitive grid with two or more axes intersecting at a certain angle is called a multi-axis strain gauge, also known as a strain rosette, as shown in Figure 2-7 shown. Its sensitive grid can be made of metal wire or metal foil. Strain rosettes can be used to easily measure the strain at a certain point on a component under a plane strain state.
